There’s Still Time to Shine: HQI Extends Awards Deadline to September 13
HQI is proud to announce a call for nominations for our second annual awards, which represent HQI’s commitment to improving health care in communities across Maryland and Virginia by recognizing health care organizations who are using evidence-based approaches to quality improvement that deliver better care, better population health and lower health care costs.
The theme of this year’s awards is “Celebrating Joy in Health Care.” As pressure continues to grow for health care providers to deliver better care to more patients with fewer resources, HQI is committed to preserving the joy in health care. While data and dollars are hugely important, at HQI we are also proud to celebrate and share the ways health care providers are finding joy in their work and helping patients find joy in their lives.
Awards will be given in five categories:
- Data-driven Care
- Patient-centered Care
- Population Health
- Rural Health.
Nominations are due September 13. Winners will be announced at two luncheons—one in Virginia on October 24 and one in Maryland on November 6.
From a strategic perspective, the awards represent our commitment to gathering and sharing the best field-based, practical methods for enhancing quality of care across physician practices, hospitals and long-term care facilities. Our award winners have taught our members simple ways to increase collaboration and patient responsiveness and enhance care coordination. By bringing together diverse care teams to share their hard-earned knowledge, we can quickly turn best practices into return on investment—and even increased joy—for providers, patients and communities.
