U.S. Surgeon General Urges Action on Opioid Epidemic

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as many as one in four patients receiving long-term opioid therapy in primary care settings struggle with opioid addiction. In a recent letter, the U.S. Surgeon General is asking all healthcare providers to take action to protect patients and help those struggling with opioid addiction.
